Bird & Whale Watching

Added Bird & Whale Watching Album to Picasa Web Albums. We got together with a few friends and co-workers to go on a bird and whale watching tour with Mullowney’s Puffin & Whale Tours based out of Bay Bulls, Newfoundland. The afternoon began with overcast skies and showers but, by the time we got a few miles off-shore, the weather turned in our favor allowing us to interact with a few humpback whales (including a baby and mother which I will post a brief video clip of shortly). Unfortunately, you cannot appreciate the size and beauty of these majestic mammals via photo/video…definitely something you have to experience in person. We also got to see a number of bird species on the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve.
